A Leather Chestplate.
The most basic of protective clothing for most Minecraftians to wear is a leather vest or other torso covering garb over their robes or other attire.
Consturction
Leather Armor’s outer layer is made out of a combination of wood and actual hard leather which is itself manufactured in many different styles and commonly has ornamentation and coloring to match different kinds of clothes. It is commonly used for martial arts practice and training with other weapons, such as during sword training and while often thought of as the armor of commoners and farmers, makes a serviceable suit of armor against most any threat the average Minecraftian is likely to encounter.
